October Progress Update

October Progress Update

Happy October Everyone!

I’ve been silent for a while on the progress of Querent. This doesn’t mean things haven’t been getting done. One of the goals of Querent is to deliver an excellent hand-crafter story. I’ve been doing a lot of writing to get the game’s story nailed down before I progress on quest design and dialog. I’ve written over 30,000 words since the demo release. This is all to do with clarifying characters and plot points for the most meaningful story possible. This is one of the goals of Querent.

In addition, I’ve been nailing down the art style and completing some background art.

Rive, the renderer I’ve used for my custom engine, has also had some exciting releases for features including shaders which really make scenes come to life. Above is a preview of the mine scene still in progress with things like reflections, realistic shading, and water.

As always, thanks for the continued support. It’s so exciting to see it come together!
